Fuel consumption — sensor-based calculation

Per-tank sensor cards with volumes, event counts, confidence factors, and notes.

When to use it

Choose Sensor-Based Calculation when that mode is enabled and you need per-sensor / tank breakdowns tied to fuel readings and detected events.

Inputs

Vehicle, date range, then Sensor-Based Calculation (see getting started).

Result layout

The API may return multiple sensors. Each becomes a card with:

Header and stats

  • Sensor name and Tank Capacity (liters) with an overall Confidence percentage.
  • Inline Stats pills: Fuel Readings, Motion Readings, Segments (counts from the API).

Volume grid

Per sensor you typically see:

  • Consumed, Refueled, Start Fuel, End Fuel (liters).
  • A Stolen summary (liters) highlighted when non-zero context applies.

Event counts

A small Event Counts visualization compares Refuel vs Theft counts for that sensor in the range.

Confidence factor (expandable)

Confidence Factor expands to show percentages for:

  • Data Density
  • Event Confidence Avg
  • Gap Penalty
  • Boundary Penalty

Values are displayed as percentages derived from the API.

Note

A text Note area joins all note strings from the API, or states that no notes are available.
