Dashboard home

The dashboard home page (/dashboard) summarizes fleet activity for the organization and group selected in the header (see Groups). Menu visibility follows Permissions.

Who uses it

Fleet coordinators and supervisors who want a quick snapshot before drilling into Live Tracker, Alerts, or fleet modules.

Prerequisites

• Valid organization context (view_organization or view_user as enforced by the route guard).
• For group-scoped widgets that depend on vehicle data, pick the correct group in the header switcher.

Navigation

1. Sign in (see Authentication).
2. From the sidebar, select Dashboard.

What you see

Content loads from production APIs:

• Vehicle status — availability-style breakdown and driver occupancy for a selectable timeframe.
• Alerts overview — aggregate alert metrics for the organization context.
• User analytics — member-related charts where your permissions allow.
• Live map — subset of vehicles with movement legend filters (driving, idle, parked) consistent with live-tracking behavior.

Expected results

• Skeletons appear while data loads; numbers and maps reflect real telemetry and organizational data for your context.
• If organization or group selection is invalid, you may be redirected or see access messaging per Permissions.

Troubleshooting

• Empty or stale metrics: Confirm the active group matches the fleet you expect.
• Sections missing: Your role may omit certain analytics; ask an administrator if a capability should be enabled.
