Fuel consumption — getting started
Vehicle list, enabled calculation modes, and date range before running a consumption calculation.
Open the screen
- Expand Fuel Monitoring.
- Select Fuel Consumption.
You need view fuel consumption permission (see Permissions and access).
Pick a vehicle
The flow mirrors Fuel Event: search by plate (debounced), then select a card. Cards can show which consumption modes are available for that vehicle (distance, sensor, hour indicators on the card).
Enabled modes
A calculation button appears only for modes your organization enabled on that vehicle:
- Distance-Based Calculation
- Sensor-Based Calculation
- Hour-Based Calculation
If none are enabled, the app shows Fuel calculation is not enabled for this vehicle, date pickers stay disabled, and no calculation buttons appear. Enabling modes is an administrator / fleet-configuration task.
Date and time range
With at least one mode enabled:
- Start Date — pick date and time.
- End Date — must be on or after start; dates before start are blocked.
Changing dates clears previous results. You can run a different mode after another without leaving the page; the last run updates the result panel.
Run a calculation
Select the button for the mode you need. Only one mode runs per click. The app calls the fuel monitoring consumption API with vehicleId, startsAt, endsAt, and mode.
While pending, the right side shows skeletons. On success, the Fuel Consumption Result panel fills in (see mode-specific pages). On error, results clear.
Result header badge
When a run succeeds, a pill shows which mode was last calculated (for example Distance-Based Calculation).
